TRACES..., HOW MUCH KILLED ME!, A POEM BY KUJTIM HAJDARI
Often times, on my shoulders, fell the raining,
Blinded my eyes, the lightning with flame,
And the thunderings left me deaf, left me blind
But they fled one day, gone as a game.
They hide aside in my memory,
Except their traces, they remained for long
(Too long in time, how they killed me ...!)
My soul was covered with blackness and night.
They were never forgotten, nor erase,
With their sad and dark colors,
They were written and left deep in my eyes,
Left their shadows, although faint.
It happens they wake me up from sleep,
Smiles sometimes turn me off, cut them off,
I feel deeply the empty soul, that something lost,
Except desire and hope, for future, I strong keep.
